Abundance has become a bit of a buzz word over the last 10 years. Everybody wants more of it, and yet few people seem to be able to attract enough of it to satisfy their wants and needs. In today’s video I share with you 5 steps you can take to end the struggle and make abundance easy.


After the release of the hit movie ‘The Secret’ and the rise of awareness about the Law of Attraction an entire new arm of the personal development industry was born around abundance. An overwhelming number of books, teachers, courses, workshops and information of all kinds has flooded the market to an insatiable audience that devours the information hungrily.

So, with so much information available about abundance and the Law of Attraction, why are so many people living in situations that demonstrate lack and limitation?

I believe one of the main reasons is because the human race has done what we’re so good at, we’ve complicated the subject and made it harder than it has to be.

It’s time to simplify abundance, but first things first. To change your results with abundance, first it’s important you understand what it is.

Abundance is a vibration and a mindset. Your experience of it is simply a reflection of whether you have a mindset that believes in and focuses on lack or on abundance. And when you change your mindset, you automatically change your vibrational alignment which ultimately changes your results.

So the way to attract more abundance into your life is not by focusing on changing your external situation, but your internal conditioning, or your mindset, which will have a flow on effect to your situation. 

What you need to concentrate on is the stories and belief systems that are demonstrating to you the illusion of lack and not enough.

You may be surprised to learn that lack is not real, but an illusion and the product of incorrect thoughts and beliefs. Lack cannot exist when you have an abundance mindset, just as fear cannot exist when you are in a space of pure love.

The good news is, there are many things you can do to change your mindset and create whatever you want in your life, including infinite abundance right here on earth.

Here are 5 powerful practices that will help to cultivate an abundance mindset, which is the only thing you need to do to create and attract more abundance effortlessly in your life.

1. Set An Intention To Create More Abundance

When you set a strong, clearly defined intention and decide that you’re going to hold to that intention no matter what, you set unseen forces in motion that will be powerful allies in your quest to create what you want.

A powerful intention is like an instruction to the Universe that you’re serious and this is when the power of Source will get on board and do 80% of the heavy lifting. If you’re wishy washy and indecisive about your future and what you want to create, Source isn’t going to waste it’s energy because it knows it can’t rely on you to step up when you need to.

An intention sends out a powerful vibration that says ‘I mean business and I’m not stopping until I get what I want’. Just say that statement and feel the power of it.

Your word is law and if you say you’re going to achieve something, and you won’t compromise, something magical happens.

Close your eyes and imagine you’re Harry Potter. State your intention as if its a spell or incantation and watch as your environment shifts and changes to bring information, circumstances, people and events to you in perfect order to help you to make it happen.

Once you set the intention, your job is to then take consistent action every day on the inspiration and the opportunities that show up.

You will be absolutely amazed what shows up to support you in the achievement of your desired intention. Abundance is just an intention away.

2. Thank God I’m Rich

You know that twist in the gut, or sinking feeling, you feel when you get a bill that you weren’t expecting, or it’s bigger than you thought it would be, or when your debit card is declined at the checkout? I know it well as I used to feel that sensation daily just a few short years ago.

This sensation, which I can only describe as a feeling of dread, is caused by a situation that triggers  the thought ‘I don’t have enough’ and the fear and stress that goes with that thought. If this is a prevailing subconscious belief, then you are going to continue to create situations that support the belief, ‘I don’t have enough’. It becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

When you’re in a situation where you feel that sensation come over you, change your state and switch your thought to ‘Thank God I’m rich.’ At first you’ll feel like you’re faking it, but as you do this over and over, your subconscious mind will start to look for evidence that supports that thought and you will gradually change your mindset to one of abundance.

You don’t have to wait until you experience an intense negative reaction to use this statement either. Say it to yourself all day and make it your mantra. Try this in all kinds of situations, or just say it because it feels good, and notice how your mind begins to focus on possibilities rather than the same old problem and you will soon start to see your situation change.

You can also use other positive affirmations such as:

  • Abundance is my birthright
  • I’m swimming in an sea of abundance
  • I’m an infinitely abundant being
  • Abundance is my best friend
  • Everything I want is on it’s way
  • I’m so happy and so grateful that I’m generating multiple streams of reliable passive income

As the saying goes, ‘fake it ’til you make it’. The subconscious mind will provide evidence to support any belief you have, and a belief is just a thought you keep thinking over and over. So when you change your thoughts, you change your beliefs, you change your results and your life.

3. Gratitude

You’ve no doubt heard this over and over again and that’s because of the power gratitude holds in it’s ability to change your life.

Appreciation appreciates. As you focus on what you have to be grateful for, more situations eventuate for you to be grateful for. It’s like a snowball effect.

It’s important that you’re not just paying lip service to gratitude, but that you’re fostering the feeling of gratitude

In order to have what you want, you must want what you have. So stop stressing and complaining that you don’t have what you want, and start appreciating all the things you already have that make your life great.

Get a gratitude journal and write 5 different things in it everyday that you’re grateful for. As you write those things, focus on your heart space and cultivate a deep, genuine, heart felt sensation of gratitude. You may find this difficult at first if you’ve been stuck in a feeling of lack and anxiety for some time, but as you practice this, you’re energy and vibration will shift and it will gradually get easier. It’s like exercising your muscles you haven’t used in a while, they take time to build strength. And as you do, you will increase momentum and it will get easier and easier.

Make gratitude a moment to moment practice and you will see your life turn around in a very short period of time.

4. Focus On Your Vision

‘Energy flows where your attention goes.’

This statement can also be said as ‘you get what you focus on’.

Stop focusing on your problems and pay attention to your dreams. You must stop focusing on what you don’t have, and focus on what you do have and the possibilities and opportunities that are available to you.

People will tell you that you have to be realistic and face facts. This is counter productive to changing your situation.

Every successful person who ever achieved anything started with a vision and held to that vision in spite of any challenges they faced.

You can achieve anything you put your mind to when you have a clear, compelling vision that you believe in and inspires you to become more than you ever believed you could be. In order to do that, the vision must be bigger than you and serve the higher good of those around you, not just yourself.

When you have a clear vision of what you want to create that inspires you, write it out in specific detail. Take your time to imagine what it will be like when you achieve your vision. Imagine how you will feel when it becomes your reality. Create a vision board that represents your vision clearly and cultivates that feeling of empowerment and achievement.

Einstein said “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”

Your subconscious is an obedient servant and cannot tell the difference between what’s real and what’s your imagination, it will diligently work to match the picture you’re seeing, or imagining, with your reality.

The more you focus on what you want, rather than what you don’t want, the more you’ll change your reality.

5. Release Stress, Fear and Self Judgement

We’ve been conditioned into being constantly fearful and critical of who we are and what we have or haven’t done.

Our environment conditions us in so many ways to believing we are powerless, we’re not good enough and we don’t deserve to have what we want. This is incredibly destructive to creating the future you want and having more abundance. But all of this is just BS – Belief Systems – that are completely untrue.

The personal development community developed a suitable acronym for fear – False Evidence Appearing Real. If you’re in fear, you are believing a story that isn’t true. In reality there is nothing to fear. Everything is always perfect, and any stress or anxiety you feel is just a projection or judgement about the way things are, or what you think might happen.

Add to this that so many of us spend a great deal of time beating ourselves up for not living up to our expectations, or the expectations of others, that we stop believing in ourselves, and our self worth deteriorates over time.

You must believe you are worthy of abundance in order to create more abundance in your life. If you don’t believe you deserve it, you’re never going to be able to create reliable sources of abundance and live an abundant life.

To release the BS, the first thing you need to do is pay attention and become aware of your negative self talk. Set the intention to become increasingly aware of the negative thoughts you have about yourself, your situation and your judgements about both.

Then notice what emotions you’re experiencing as a result of those thoughts and judgements.

This heightened awareness does take practice, but it’s well worth it as when you know the thoughts and belief systems you have that are creating your lack of abundance, or other less than desirable circumstances, you then have the power to change them.

To increase the power of this practice, write down the list of things you notice, then write down beside each thought, emotion and belief system how you would like to think and feel. As you become increasingly aware of your destructive conditioning, you are able to consciously change the thought which will change your results.
